The Emily Morgan San Antonio - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

other

The Emily Morgan Hotel rises as a sharp, gothic-style limestone wedge at the corner of Houston and Navarro streets. Architect Ralph Cameron designed this building in nineteen twenty-four, originally serving as a medical facility called the Medical Arts Building. Surgeons and dentists occupied the upper floors, while a pharmacy filled the ground level. Gargoyles protrude from the upper tiers, featuring carved faces of medical ailments like toothaches and broken bones, peering down at the city streets from the terracotta facade.
