The entrance to Bathtub Gin and Company is a narrow, nondescript door tucked into a brick alleyway in Belltown. Inside, the space operates within what was once a basement boiler room for the Humphrey Apartments building, constructed in nineteen twenty-four. During the prohibition era, the building’s basement served as a secret spot for producing illicit spirits. Today, the bar maintains that cramped, subterranean atmosphere with low ceilings and stacked wooden crates, keeping the focus squarely on gin-based cocktails and historical recipes.
