Area fifty-two sits behind a nondescript facade on a Hobart street, marked by a simple, industrial aesthetic. It functions as a specialized indoor center for parkour and freerunning. Inside, the space contains custom-built steel frames, foam pits, and wooden obstacles designed to mimic urban architecture. Hobart locals founded the space in two thousand fourteen to provide a dedicated venue for athletes to train away from concrete city surfaces. It remains the primary hub for the local parkour community in Tasmania.
