monument

Two larger than life bronze figures lean over the railing of the Rogers Centre, frozen in a permanent state of anticipation. They are part of Michael Snow’s installation titled The Audience. When the city commissioned these pieces in the late eighties, the artist chose to depict the spectators rather than the athletes, shifting the focus to the people who fill the stadium.
