The Edifice Balfour stands out for its curved corner facade, where rows of large, industrial-style windows follow the bend of the street. Built in nineteen nineteen, this structure once housed the Balfour Shirt Company. Workers manufactured dress shirts here for decades while the surrounding neighborhood filled with residential row houses. The factory remains a distinct shift in scale, holding its original height and brickwork against the lower, more compact homes that define the rest of this corner of the Plateau.
