Montreal Science Centre

museum

The Montreal Science Centre is anchored by a sharp, angular roofline that cuts against the historic stone warehouses of the Old Port. Built in two thousand, this facility occupies a former cold storage warehouse that once moved tons of grain and perishable goods from ships into the city. Architects kept the heavy concrete bones of the industrial pier but replaced the interiors with interactive galleries. A massive gear mechanism from the original elevator system remains visible, frozen in place inside the lobby.
