The stone facade of Palača Cindro features a grand, arched entryway topped by a stone coat of arms belonging to the Cindro family. This eighteenth-century building served as the primary urban residence for one of Split's most influential noble families. During the Napoleonic wars, the Cindro family famously hosted Marshal Auguste de Marmont here. The Marshal stayed in the palace while he introduced modern infrastructure and urban planning to the city, making this site the center of administrative change in Dalmatia.
