Toplice KBC Split (Sumporne toplice)

The Sumporne toplice, or Sulfur Baths, stands out with its distinct pale yellow neoclassical facade and the heavy scent of sulfur that occasionally drifts from its springs. Built in the early nineteenth century, this facility harnessed the natural, mineral-rich thermal waters that flow directly beneath the city. Local residents once lined up here to treat everything from rheumatism to skin ailments. Dr. Petar Dujmovic famously championed the site, insisting the water possessed healing properties that modern medicine could not replicate.
