Vinet Garden

The Vinet Garden sits enclosed by high stone walls on the rue Vinet, marked by a wrought iron gate that reveals a dense pocket of greenery tucked away from the surrounding streets. This plot once belonged to the private mansion of the Vinet family, wealthy merchants who helped shape the Bordeaux economy in the eighteenth century. Behind these walls, they maintained a private garden designed for seclusion. Today, it remains one of the rare instances where a historic inner-city estate garden survives in its original footprint.
