The Théâtre de verdure sits inside Charcot Park as a horseshoe of stone tiers carved directly into the grassy slope. It belongs to a tradition of garden theaters where the architecture merges with the landscape to host performances in the open air. In the nineteen twenties, the city built this space so neighbors could stage plays and music surrounded by the park’s trees. Local actors still arrive here on summer evenings to set their stage against the backdrop of the shifting leaves.
