The Indian Pavilion was originally constructed for the Universal Exhibition of 1878 in Paris to display precious items brought back from India by the Prince of Wales. You are looking at a structure that was once situated on the very site where the Eiffel Tower stands today. After the exhibition concluded, the pavilion was dismantled and sold in sections, with this portion eventually finding a permanent home here in the park of Bécon.
