Buste du Maréchal Juin

The bronze bust of Marshal Alphonse Juin in Levallois-Perret is a smaller-scale version of a larger statue originally commissioned to honor one of the most significant French military figures of the twentieth century. Alphonse Juin earned distinction as a high-ranking commander during World War Two, particularly for leading the French Expeditionary Corps in Italy, a campaign that ultimately opened the road to Rome for the Allied forces. His military expertise was so highly regarded by his contemporaries that General Dwight Eisenhower considered him the finest French combat general of the entire conflict.
