The facade of the building on Rue Anatole France features a massive, painted scene of a Venetian canal. It covers the entire side wall, showing stone balconies, shuttered windows, and a gondola resting on the water. In the nineteen eighties, the city of Levallois-Perret commissioned this work to transform a blank, grey concrete wall into a visual illusion. Artists from the Cité de la Création painted the mural, blending their architectural trickery with the existing real windows of the apartment complex.
