The Théâtre des Sablons stands out for its curved, timber-clad facade that ripples against the surrounding park greenery. This structure replaced a nineteen sixties social center that had fallen into disrepair. Architect Jean-Pierre Lott designed the current building to house a public theater and media library under one roof. In twenty thirteen, construction workers unearthed a collection of medieval artifacts on this site, including pottery shards and fragments of old stone foundations, forcing a temporary halt to the building process for archaeological analysis.
