Parc de l'Île de Puteaux

The Parc de l'Île de Puteaux stretches as a long, narrow strip of green dividing the Seine. This island served as a private retreat for the wealthy in the nineteenth century, housing lush gardens and estates. In the nineteen seventies, the town of Puteaux acquired the land to create a public space. Today, the island hosts extensive sports facilities and the famous rose garden where gardeners cultivate thousands of bushes, continuing the tradition of the island as a curated botanical escape.
