Square François Mitterrand

The Square François Mitterrand anchors the neighborhood with its distinctive raised circular garden, a patch of greenery held up by a low concrete retaining wall that separates the quiet benches from the surrounding pavement. It occupies the former site of the old Vanves town hall. In nineteen seventy-five, when the new municipal building opened a short distance away, this space became a public garden. A bronze sculpture by the artist Shelomo Selinger rests in the center, commemorating the local history of the French Resistance.
