Promenade Jean-Paul Belmondo

park garden

The Promenade Jean-Paul Belmondo occupies a stretch of the former railway line known as the Petite Ceinture in the fifteenth arrondissement. The city converted this abandoned track into a public garden that runs above the street level, elevated behind stone retaining walls. In two thousand twenty-one, the local council named this walkway for the actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, who grew up nearby on rue de la Glacière. He spent his childhood playing in these streets before he became a icon of French cinema.
