Plateia Exarcheion

Plateia Exarcheion is defined by the dense, tangled canopy of its ancient plane trees and the persistent layer of political posters plastered over every available concrete surface. In the nineteen seventies, students from the nearby Polytechnic school gathered here to organize protests that eventually brought down the military junta.
