The Emarat-e Fil stands out for the elephant-shaped carvings flanking its entrance, a feature that distinguishes it from the surrounding traditional architecture in the Goud-e Araban neighborhood. Built during the Qajar era, this house served as a residence for the wealthy Pishva family. Locals recount that the head of the household kept a real elephant in the courtyard for a time, a display of immense status in nineteenth-century Shiraz. Today, the structure remains a primary example of regional residential design.
