The Shiraz House is a Qajar-era residence marked by its intricate brickwork and deep, recessed wooden doorways that lead into a central courtyard. Merchants built these homes to trap cool air against the summer heat using thick clay walls and internal water features. In the nineteen eighties, a local family living here discovered a hidden cache of antique tiles behind a false wall while performing routine plumbing repairs. Those tiles eventually helped historians date the original construction to the mid-nineteenth century.
