Abrasha Park

park garden

Abrasha Park sits atop the hill in Old Jaffa, marked by the white Wishing Bridge that spans the wooden deck. It serves as a green clearing above the harbor, named for Avraham Abrasha Polonsky, a local figure who helped Jewish refugees enter the country during the British Mandate. In the late nineteen seventies, the city turned this high point into a garden, framing the view of the coastline that has defined this port for thousands of years.
