Elifelet

Elifelet Street functions as a narrow, unassuming connector in the Florentin neighborhood, distinguished by the weathered, low-rise apartment blocks that crowd its edges. In the nineteen twenties, this area housed a cluster of workers who built the city from the sand up. Most of the residents were immigrants living in makeshift conditions, often sleeping ten to a room. During the riots of nineteen twenty-one, the residents here hauled heavy furniture into the street to create makeshift barricades against attackers from neighboring areas.
