Suzanne Dellal Centre for Dance and Theatre

cultural

The Suzanne Dellal Centre features a distinct facade of yellow bricks and intricate, arched windows that sets it apart from the surrounding neighborhood of Neve Tzedek. Before it became the home of the Batsheva Dance Company, this complex served as the Alliance School, established in eighteen ninety-two for local children. The Baron Edmond de Rothschild funded the original construction to provide vocational training. Now, the old classrooms house dance studios, and the courtyard serves as a main stage for contemporary performances.
