Park HaMesila

park garden

Park HaMesila follows a long, straight concrete path where steam engines once hauled cargo between Jaffa and Jerusalem. The railway line, established in eighteen ninety-two, cut through the city for over a century before falling into disuse. Today, the tracks are gone, replaced by a narrow, landscaped strip of parkland that connects the historic neighborhoods. A rusted rail signal remains standing near the center, marking the spot where trains once cleared the busy streets of early Tel Aviv.
