Sipur Pashut sits on the corner of Pines Street, marked by its oversized, hand-painted wooden sign and a narrow, floor-to-ceiling glass storefront that keeps the stacks of books visible from the sidewalk. It began as a small project by a group of friends who wanted a quiet space for literature in a neighborhood better known for nightlife. They hand-picked every title, creating a tight collection that rejects commercial bestsellers in favor of translated poetry, independent presses, and obscure essays written in Hebrew.
