Hotel Luna Convento

The bell tower of the Hotel Luna Convento rises in a sharp, arched silhouette against the sheer rock face, capped with colorful majolica tiles that catch the Mediterranean sun. Founded in twelve twenty-two, the building served as a monastery for the Capuchin friars for centuries. By the mid-nineteenth century, the monks departed, and the site reopened as a hotel. Visitors like Henrik Ibsen and Richard Wagner found their way here, sketching and writing within the quiet walls of the former cloister.
