Coopérative Talassemtane de tissage Chefchaouen

The Talassemtane Weaving Cooperative occupies a building marked by traditional blue-washed walls and large, wooden looms visible through the open doorway. This space serves as a hub for local women to produce hand-woven textiles using techniques passed down through generations. Zahra, one of the founding weavers, established this collective to secure fair wages for artisans who were previously struggling to sell their intricate wool blankets independently. The rhythmic sound of shuttles flying across the warp defines the atmosphere inside this workshop.
