The low building on the corner features oversized, geometric windows that frame the handcrafted wooden chairs inside. Bofred began as a design partnership between Carla Erasmus and Christa Botha, who grew tired of sourcing mass-produced decor for their interior projects. They shifted to manufacturing their own furniture in their workshop, prioritizing raw materials like oak and steel. Local artisans cut and join every piece by hand, turning the space into a laboratory for slow, intentional design in the heart of Zonnebloem.
