Piazza della Famiglia

The Piazza della Famiglia is a cobblestone plaza stretching between India and Columbia streets. It occupies the space where a private alley once sat, acting as the front porch for the neighborhood. In two thousand eighteen, city planners and local business owners transformed this path into a pedestrian thoroughfare to anchor Little Italy. A central fountain releases jets of water into a tiered basin, while rows of white umbrellas shade tables set out by the surrounding cafes and restaurants.
