Hanks Cafe Honolulu

The building hosting Hanks Cafe features a wide, glass-fronted facade tucked into the street level of the historic Mendonca Building. This spot served as a local haunt for years, defined by its massive, rotating selection of sausages and a collection of eclectic, salvaged memorabilia covering the walls. Hank Bahrenburg ran the place with a singular focus on casual, neighborhood service. He sourced ingredients from across the globe while keeping the atmosphere grounded in the grit and rhythm of downtown Honolulu.
