The Manifest sits behind a set of large, street-level glass windows on Nuuanu Avenue, marked by a simple, industrial sign hanging above the sidewalk. During the day, the space functions as a coffee shop with tall shelves of roasting equipment. At night, the lighting drops and it operates as a cocktail bar. In the nineteen-twenties, this building served as a storage space for the waterfront trade, holding crates and goods that arrived in Honolulu Harbor before they moved further into the city.
