Lubben Plaza

Lubben Plaza features a tall, slender sculpture of welded steel rods that twists toward the sky, separating the park from the surrounding city streets. This small green space honors David Lubben, a local artist who died in a car accident in nineteen seventy-eight. His father, a local architect, transformed this sliver of land into a tribute by placing his son's metal work at the center. The plaza serves as a quiet garden where the tangled, geometric steel reaches above the shade of the trees.
