Giant Eyeball

landmark

The thirty-foot-tall fiberglass eyeball sits in the middle of a garden, anchored by a steel stalk buried in the ground. It is a realistic replica of a human eye, complete with blue iris and prominent red veins. The sculpture was created by artist Tony Tasset in two thousand seven. It once traveled to different temporary exhibitions before finding this permanent home. The owner of the nearby Joule Hotel bought the piece and placed it here for public display.
