Spirit of Communication

monument

The Spirit of Communication is a gilded bronze statue of a winged man holding a bundle of lightning bolts, perched atop a globe. This figure originally served as the emblem for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, standing guard over their corporate headquarters in New York City for decades. When the company moved to Dallas in the late twentieth century, they brought this massive icon with them. It now stands as a permanent fixture near the entrance of their downtown offices.
