Fountain Place is a sixty-story prism of reflective emerald glass that seems to shift its shape as you move around it. Architect I.M. Pei designed the tower with a complex geometry of seventy-two facets that rise at different angles, creating a jagged, crystalline silhouette against the Dallas skyline. At its base, Dan Kiley arranged hundreds of cypress trees and nearly two hundred fountains. The water features create a dense, constant roar that drowns out the noise of the surrounding downtown streets.
