Klyde Warren Park

park garden

Klyde Warren Park is a five acre deck built directly over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway. It functions as a bridge connecting Uptown and the Dallas Arts District, surfacing as a flat green lawn where traffic previously roared below. Before construction finished in twenty twelve, the space was a scar of concrete that physically severed the downtown core. Now, thousands of commuters and families sit on the grass where vehicles once passed, buffered by layers of specialized sound insulation and vibration dampeners.
