The former Texas School Book Depository is the seven story red brick building sitting at the corner of Elm and Houston streets. Its industrial exterior features a distinctive square clock face mounted near the roofline on the west facade. While built in nineteen oh one to serve as a regional warehouse for shipping school textbooks, the structure became the focal point of the nineteen sixty-three investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy after three shells were found on the sixth floor.
