The Old Clare by Ode Hotels

The Old Clare Hotel occupies the corner of Kensington Street, identifiable by the stark, industrial contrast between the restored Carlton United Brewery administration building and the adjacent brick tower of the former Kent Brewery. Developers stripped the internal layers of these heritage structures, exposing raw concrete walls and original timber beams. Before the boutique hotel opened in twenty fifteen, the site sat vacant for decades, silent remnants of the massive industrial complex that once controlled the local beer supply for much of Sydney.
