Farmhouse Victoria

The Farmhouse on Cook Street sits in the middle of a modern city, a one-story cottage defined by its steep gabled roof and a distinct lack of the glass towers that crowd the street. Built in eighteen sixty-two, it predates the street grid that now forces traffic around its porch. Thomas and Catherine Ginn, who arrived from England, lived here while clearing the surrounding forest. The house remains because the family kept it, refusing to sell the land until the nineteen seventies.
