The white steel skeleton of La Grande Roue de Montréal towers over the Saint Lawrence River. Standing two hundred feet tall, it is the largest observation wheel in Canada. The structure opened in twenty-seventeen to mark the three hundred seventy-fifth anniversary of the city. While tourists see it as a scenic ride, it was built on the exact spot where grain silos once defined the industrial harbor, turning a decommissioned shipping pier into the focal point of the modern Old Port.
