Jardin Albert 1er

The Jardin Albert Premier is defined by the massive, meticulously pruned palms and the long, rectangular lawn that stretches toward the sea. Created in the early nineteenth century, this garden serves as the green heart of Nice, separating the old city from the newer boulevards. It replaced a desolate marshland that once flooded during heavy rains. In nineteen fourteen, the city added a monument to the Centenary of the Annexation of Nice to France, which still anchors the garden today.
