The Square du Dôme takes its name from the copper-roofed dome that sits atop the old Pathé-Natan cinema building immediately to its side. Before the park existed, this site housed the bustling center of French film production, where cameras captured the early days of cinema history. When the studio moved out, the city reclaimed the grounds, tearing down the aging industrial structures to create this quiet residential garden. The rusted, industrial silhouette of the neighboring studio remains, watching over the park’s benches.
