Square de la République

The Square de la République features a distinct, circular arrangement of stone seating shaded by rows of precisely pruned trees. Before this area became a public square, it served as a bustling market ground for the local vegetable growers of Courbevoie. During the mid-twentieth century, planners replaced the stalls with this open layout to manage the flow of traffic and pedestrians between the nearby train station and the town center. Local residents still gather on these stone benches every Saturday morning.
