Parc Freudenstadt is marked by the concrete retaining wall that separates the sloping grass from the street level. It serves as a physical reminder of the local government’s Nineteen Eighty-Seven decision to solidify the bond between Courbevoie and its German twin city, Freudenstadt. Before this project, the land functioned as a neglected industrial buffer zone. Today, the park hosts a series of geometric flower beds and paths, designed to mirror the layout of its namesake in the Black Forest.
