The Mairie de Levallois-Perret garden features a dense collection of exotic trees and a tall, central bronze statue of a woman holding a torch. This space occupies the former grounds of the old Planchette estate, which the town purchased in eighteen ninety-seven to construct its grand municipal headquarters. Mayor Nicolas Sarkozy later redesigned the area in the late nineteen eighties, installing the modern fountain and limestone paths that organize the space today. The garden serves as the official administrative courtyard for the town.
