This small park commemorates the French fighter pilots who fought alongside the Soviet air force against Nazi Germany starting in nineteen forty-two. Jean de Pange, a pilot who joined the squadron, lived in Malakoff after the war. His presence helped secure this plot of land to honor his comrades. The propeller stands as a direct reference to the Yak aircraft they flew over the Russian front.
