Park Rosa Bonheur

The Park Rosa Bonheur features a distinct, rusted iron gate that stands out against the surrounding stone walls of Malakoff. This green space occupies the former site of a nineteenth-century industrial workshop. Before the trees and benches arrived, the land held the sprawling studio of a metalwork company that crafted ornamental iron for Paris buildings. Today, local residents recognize the park by the massive, gnarled horse chestnut trees that shade the gravel paths where workers once moved heavy cast iron forms.
