Parc Frédéric Pic

Parc Frédéric Pic centers on a wide, sloping lawn that stretches from the rue de la République toward the old town center. This ground belonged to the Saint-Sulpice seminary for centuries until the French state claimed it after the nineteen oh five law separating church and state. The gardens now contain a notable cedar of Lebanon planted in eighteen forty-two. You can see the tree by its sprawling, horizontal branches that reach across the gravel paths near the southern edge of the park.
