BAC Jean-Louis Cohen (Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine)

The Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine occupies the expansive wing of the Palais de Chaillot that stares directly across the river at the Eiffel Tower. It houses a collection of full-scale plaster casts of French architectural treasures, including the entire portal of the Moissac Abbey. In nineteen thirty-seven, these halls were prepared for the International Exposition. Architects built the current structure over the foundations of the older Trocadéro Palace, salvageably reusing the curved geometry to frame the vista of the Champ de Mars.
