Square Roger-Coquoin

Square Roger-Coquoin holds a cluster of mature trees that dampen the noise of the surrounding streets. Named for a local doctor who died in the French Resistance during the Second World War, the park occupies a narrow strip of land that was once part of the railway infrastructure of the Petite Ceinture. While most of the city’s old circular train line remains abandoned or repurposed, this section became a garden where the steep embankment walls still mark the edge of the grounds.
